PROGRAM AND OTHER YARCHEI KALLAH INFORMATION

HOTEL INFORMATION AND ROOMING RESERVATIONS

Boruch HaShem, we have the largest attendance ever at this year’s Yarchei Kallah. As you can imagine, this is placing added pressure on the hotel facilities which have been completely booked for our program. It is therefore imperative that you review the personalized confirmation we previously sent you to be sure that the nights you reserved in the hotel are accurate, and to advise us immediately (by phone 1.212.797.7380) if there are any changes or corrections needed.
The Yarchei Kallah will take place at the Ramada Hotel, Ruppin Bridge at Herzl Boulevard. The main phone number is 011-972-2-659-9999; and the fax number is 011-972-2-651-1824. As of Monday morning, January 15/28 Teves, the Grand Ballroom on the main level of the hotel will
be used for all shiurim, learning b’chavrusa, tefillos, etc.

PROGRAM / SHIURIM DEDICATIONS

There are a limited number of dedications available for specific shiurim, the pre-Yarchei Kallah event with HaRav Chaim Kanievsky shlita, the trip to Kever Rochel for Mincha and Yom Kippur Koton, the Women’s Shiurim and touring program, as well as the Tzeischem L’Sholom Dinner.
To sponsor either “in honor of” or “l’ilui nishmas”, please contact our office immediately at either 1.212.797.7380 or at yarcheikallah@agudathisrael.org.

SUNDAY EVENING EVENT WITH HARAV CHAIM KANIEVSKY SHLITA, IN BNEI BRAK

As previously advised, there will be a special Pre-Yarchei Kallah event (for both men and women) Sunday evening at Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital (Rechov HaRav Povarsky 17, in Bnei Brak). Whether you are arriving from the airport or already in Eretz Yisroel, please make your own travel arrangements to Bnei Brak. There will be buses in the hospital’s parking lot to store your luggage. It is important for you to remember on which bus you have stored your luggage, so that it is not unclaimed upon returning to Yerushalayim. The Reception is at 6:00 PM with the program beginning at 7:45 PM. At the conclusion of the program (approximately 8:45 – 9:00 PM), the buses will depart to the Ramada Hotel in Yerushalayim. NOTE: We have been advised that the areas within hospital facilities in which our program will take place are halachically suitable for Kohanim as well.

CHECK-IN / EARLY CHECK-IN

Check-in time at the Ramada is 3:00 PM and you should not expect your room to be available at an earlier hour. However, if the room is available, as a courtesy to our guests, they will permit checking in as early as 11:00 AM without any additional charge. Checking in between 7:00 AM and 10:30 AM will incur an additional charge of $50 - $60, which will also entitle the guest(s) to breakfast. (This charge will not be waived even if the guest does not eat breakfast.) Checking in prior to 7:00 AM may result in an additional full-night’s charge.

EARLY MORNING TENDER TO KOSEL FOR NEITZ MINYAN

On Monday through Thursday morning, a tender has been arranged to take those of our guests who wish to daven Shacharis with the Neitz at the Kosel, and will return after Shacharis. The tender will leave the Ramada approximately 1 hour, 10 minutes before the Neitz. Please check with our staff for exact time. We thank an Anonymous Sponsor for arranging this added convenience for our guests.

SHABBOS MEALS

Your hotel reservation includes bed and breakfast at the Ramada. If you are staying at the Ramada Hotel over Shabbos, (either prior to or following the Yarchei Kallah), Shabbos meals must be ordered directly from the hotel, which will be billed by the hotel directly to your credit card that you be required to provide upon check-in.

AIRLINE BAGGAGE WEIGHT LIMIT

Just a reminder: please note that most airlines have a weight limit (in economy class) of 50 pounds per checked bag. Please bear this in mind so that you will avoid having an additional charge for any bags exceeding 50 pounds. Also, be aware that many airlines now have fees even for checked baggage. Please check with your airline to determine the appropriate baggage allowance.

PASSPORT VALIDATION & CURRENCY LIMITATIONS

Your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date you return from Eretz Yisroel, or you may be denied boarding by your airline when departing the US. Please check your passport to make sure that it is valid for this period. IMPORTANT: Although carrying any amount of currency out of the US is permitted, any one taking $10,000 or more must declare this with US customs prior to boarding. The US customs has been extremely aggressive in enforcing this, and has seized currency that exceeds this limit from passengers even after boarding their planes. Any seized currency may not be returned to the passenger.
